The Olivia Caldwell Foundation's Circle Of Hope
Did you know that you can MAKE A HUGE IMPACT in the fight to cure pediatric cancer and improve the access to pediatric care in Wyoming by MAKING A SMALL MONTHLY DONATION? |
Brianna Gonzales was originally diagnosed with a hypothalamic Low Grade Glioma (LGG) at 18 months old in July, 2013, following an evaluation for failure to thrive.
She required aggressive therapy in addition to a year of weekly IV chemotherapy which only achieved a partial response which unfortunately, shortly after stopping chemotherapy developed progressive disease. Over the next 4 years of her life she endured multiple clinical trials until her Aug, 2018 when her tumor had grown sufficiently and begun to cause edema in surrounding brain structures her doctors knew they had to intervene (MRI #1). |
Brianna was successfully restarted on the previously successful inhibitor therapy and as before, she not only tolerated the drug well, she had an amazing clinical response, in fact the best clinical response and tumor control she has had since she started treatment in 2013 (MRI #2).
