Having a dependable mode of transportation is of the utmost importance to all of us, but this is especially true for families who have to travel long distances and attend multiple appointments for their child's medical care. The Olivia Caldwell Foundation began to notice a consistent and overwhelming need for families to receive financial assistance to keep their vehicles in good, working order and to keep up on car payments and auto insurance payments when they are in the midst of a medical crisis. Thanks to a generous grant from Casper College's SparkTank Program we were able to kick off a new Driven to Care Program that is dedicated to helping families keep their families safely on the roads!
The Driven to Care Program pays for critical automotive repairs when a vehicle isn't operating well in addition to the purchase of sets of tires, new windshields, oil changes, etc. We have also paid for car payments and auto insurance payments for families when those bills become a barrier to keep the family's vehicle on the road.
We work with automotive partners statewide to complete these projects for families, enabling them to stay safely on the road. To learn more, apply for assistance for yourself or a family in your care, or to become a Driven to Care Partner, please contact our Whole Family Support Director, Eileen Ford.
