Sheila Jacobs
In 2006 Sheila had her first child and weighed in at 210 lbs. She managed to lose 80 lbs on her own and had her second child in 2011. When he was about 4 months old she had to have emergency back surgery and was not even allowed to hold her newborn because of the doctor's restrictions. By the time she was cleared she could barely pick him up, and that was when she decided to join a gym.
She found the Wyoming Athletic Club and started first with group fitness classes. She knew she needed more so she hired a personal trainer. It was then that Sheila fell in love with all the concepts of weight and sports training, so she switched her college major to Health and Fitness. At the same time she also began competing in MMA and Jiu Jitsu martial arts. Sheila graduated first with her AAS as a Health & Fitness Specialist and then received her BA in Exercise Science a short time later. After she graduated she discovered a lack of true nutritionists in the Casper area. Most had little more than an online certification. She believes that good nutrition is the biggest battle towards total overall health and weight loss, so she went back to school again and received her DP in Comprehensive Nutrition in 2017. |
