Timothy & Misty Ahumuza
I would like you all to know how my husband Tim and I met. It believe it was love at first sight and also a true fairytale.
It all started back in September 25, 2005.
It was homecoming, I never really like going to dances but my sister and I were doing this together. We both got our dresses and makeup together hair done. We were ready. I was nervous about the whole thing. I didn't have a date for one, and two, I don't really dance in front of others. I thought it was going to be a long night. Turns out as my sister and I were having a blast we both decided to go get fresh air due to it was getting hot with the music and dancing and all the people who showed up. As I was walking out to get fresh air this guy approached me and asked me to "dance with me"!! Yes a guy asked me to dance! I was so excited and nervous that I said "I'd be back", because I still needed to get air.
I feel in love, I talked about him and smiled all night. When my sister and I decided to go back in to the dance I never saw him again. I searched and searched all night. Keep in mind I've never been ask to a dance or even asked to dance with a guy. I was sad. The night was ending and I still couldn't find him. So I gave up. I was so devastated but also had butterflies in my stomach due to how I felt for him. He was so polite, handsome, and his smile lite up my life. It was two months after the dance and as I was walking the hallways of the school at lunch time, I heard this guy yelled "there's the girl that rejected me at the dance". I laughed once I heard that but than realized he was talking about me. As I turned around and there he as. The love of my life. I tried to explain that I needed air and that I looked all night for him. He made jokes about it for awhile and we talked for a long time. He was understanding but still teased me about it to this day in 2019.
Turns out we rode the same bus together. He got off on first bus stop and I got off the second one bus stop. (Weird I know) This whole time we we so close together that we never realized it till that day he yelled that out and we started to hang out. This was meant to be. Well I hoped it was. Turns out he loved to run, do outdoor activities, and basketball! We joined the same track team and running club together. We were friends at this time. He was a senior and I was a junior at the time. School was out and we both stayed in contact! That summer came, we hung out all the time, went to movies, parks, and even met the parent!! It was on August 20th 2006 when we became boyfriend and girlfriend!! I was so excited to become his girlfriend life was getting better and better so I thought.
It wasn't until he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! We got married March 8th, 2007. People around us thought we were crazy for doing so! We wanted to be together and never leave each other's lives. I felt as if my life was complete. He was my dream guy. Fast forward to January 2019. My dream guy Timothy and I are still married and have four children together. We have our ups and downs but throughout my life with him, he is my rock, best friend, shoulder to lean on, he is my everything, and I could go on and on but I'll stop. In the end we are highschool sweethearts and that makes me very excited to say. Also to this day he still makes my stomach have butterflies with how sweet and wonderful he is to me and our children!! I love him wholeheartedly!!!
