Delaney Wadsworth was born on March 26, 2007. She was born perfectly health, and she developed at an advanced rate. She was happy, friendly to everyone, and a true joy to be around. On March 26, 2010, she had her 3rd birthday party, which had a Chinese Theme and included around 50 people.
A few months later, her parents noticed something was wrong. She normally had good balance, but she suddenly fell a lot and became angry easily. Her parents thought it was an inner ear infection. They took her to a pediatrician in Colorado on July 2nd 2010. They were supposed to leave for vacation the next day. They were sent to the ER for a CT scan, which revealed a cancerous mass in her brain. They rushed to Children's Hospital in Aurora, and two days later they found that it was not operable and at best, with treatment, she would have another year left to live.
They treated her with 5 days of radiation, and then took her home and just enjoyed our time with her. Delaney and her family went to California, to Lego Land, to see the ocean, to go see Sea World. They took her on a Make A Wish Trip to Give Kids the World in Florida. She was a cheerleader for two high schools, she got goats. They squeezed as much life as they could in the short amount of time they had left.
In February of 2011, her parents noticed that she was going downhill again. They had an MRI done and saw the tumor was growing again. She had 4-6 weeks left, there was nothing more that could be done. On February 26, exactly 1 month before her 4th birthday party, they held a huge birthday party for her. There were clowns, face painters, bouncy houses, cotton candy, and she even married Buzz Lightyear. About 1 week later she slipped into a coma, she woke up once from it to tell all of her loved ones goodbye. On March 13th 2012, 13 days before her 4th birthday, she passed away in the arms of her mommy and daddy.
