Harmony & Healing ProgramThe Olivia Caldwell Foundation and VIBES Music are excited to offer a FREE program to Natrona County families and patients. The "Harmony & Healing" therapeutic music program provides private and group music therapy sessions led by board-certified music therapists, helping families and patients discover powerful ways in which music can be utilized to facilitate change, growth, and healing. Teen Music classes will also be available for FREE, to allow them to explore creating and expressing themselves through music.

WHAT IS MUSIC THERAPY?
Music therapy is the evidence-based use of music intervention to address non-musical goals. It often includes the use of song discussion, interactive music making, songwriting, improvisation, receptive experiences, and verbal processing based on the needs and abilities of each patient. |
Music therapists work with patients across all ages with a wide variety of diagnoses to:
Improve motor function (strength, coordination, balance, flexibility) Improve expressive language (content, fluency, articulation) Improve cognition and executive function (memory/recall, pattern recognition, sequencing) Improve socialization (impulse control, boundaries, conflict resolution, joint attention) Improve emotional regulation (distress tolerance, anxiety management, development/use of coping skills, emotional expression, cognitive reframing) |
Music therapists frequently work with patients experiencing:
Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (Down Syndrome, ASD, etc) Post-stroke rehabilitation Dementia and Alzheimer's Hospice/Palliative Care Mental Health Concerns (Depression, anxiety, anger, transition, grief/loss) |
