Stella Strong began shortly after local Douglas, WY girl, Stella Beard, was diagnosed with DIPG brain cancer in December 2016. Originally Stella Strong was simply a Facebook page dedicated to updating friends and family throughout her journey. After her passing in 2017, Stella Strong has become a community focused resource that helps families that are experiencing medical hardships and to support the research and treatment of pediatric cancer. Personally, Stella Strong became a way for Stella’s family to continue her legacy and to spread “Pink Hearts” to those in need.
In August 2019, Stella Strong became an official fund of the Olivia Caldwell Foundation. This means that all donations made to Stella Strong are now 100% tax-deductible. This partnership also enables both families to make a greater impact in the fight to find a cure for pediatric cancer. |

Stella Strong provides funding for pediatric cancer research and to families in the Douglas area who are experiencing medical hardships. To request funding from the Stella Strong Fund please email Marissa Beard with a formal request.
