Lisa Crum, Board Secretary
Lisa is a Casper native and a proud graduate of the University of Wyoming - Go Pokes! She earned her Bachelors & Masters Degrees in Clinical Social Work and has built a rewarding career in clinical therapy for over 22 years within the Casper community. Her career has focused on providing specialized therapy in a variety of settings; community health centers, non-profit organizations, and private practice.
Among her areas of expertise, Lisa has extensive experience working with children and families who have experienced abuse/neglect, as well as those who have experienced complex trauma, specifically in relation to domestic violence/sexual assault. Lisa is a certified domestic violence/sexual assault advocate and has been on the Self-Help Center of Casper's Board of Directors for over 10 years. While her career has focused on various areas of clinical work, her true passion has been addressing vulnerable populations and advocating for social justice within diverse systems. |
In 2021, Lisa began exploring another passion with her love of gardening - combining horticulture and clinical therapy. She completed her master gardener training through the University of Wyoming Outreach Program in 2023 and hopes to continue advocacy and education of gardening/horticulture within therapy outreach programs. Specifically, working with children and the elderly populations to enhance overall quality of life by combining the mental health benefits of horticulture therapy. Ultimately, she hopes to assist schools with building greenhouses and practicing horticulture therapy for vulnerable populations.
Lisa has served on various boards within the Casper area, and strives to build a better community and opportunities for those vulnerable populations across Wyoming. Being part of the Olivia Caldwell Foundation aligns with this type of advocacy, and Lisa is incredibly humbled to join this amazing team of like-minded individuals.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys golfing and alpine skiing with her family, gardening, volunteering, reading anything, traveling, and attending University of Wyoming football games. Go Pokes!
